Rosemary is an herb in the mint family. It is a small evergreen shrub,  whose 1-inch leaves resemble curved pine needles. Rosemary has a tea-like aroma and a piney flavor.  In cooking, rosemary is used as a seasoning in a variety of dishes, such as soups, casseroles, salads, and stews. Use rosemary with chicken and other poultry, game, lamb, pork, steaks, and fish, especially oily fish.
