Customer service & retail

Cashier

Greet customers, process purchases, handle payments, package items, maintain checkout area, and provide excellent customer service.

 

Perennials Plant Sales

Provide knowledge advice on perennials, assist customers, maintain plant health, and organize the perennials areas.

 

 

Trees, and shrubs sales

Help customers select trees and shrubs. Provide planting advice, maintain displays, and care for plants.

 

 

Labour and Support roles

Trees & shrubs labour

Load customer purchases, unload deliveries, restock plants, and perform physically demanding work.

 

Hard goods & garden décor role

Assist customers with gardening products and décor, stock shelves, merchandise displays, assist with loading customers heavy-item purchases.

 

Watering Labour

Water plants daily using hoses and watering wands; ensuring each plant receives the appropriate amount of water. Monitor soil moisture and plant health, adjusting watering as needed based on plant type, weather, and greenhouse conditions. Identify and report signs of plant stress, pests, or disease to supervisors. Assist with general plant care; spacing, restocking, removing damaged plants, deadheading and trimming plants.

 

General Greenhouse roles

Maintain clean and organized greenhouse benches, walkways, and watering areas. Help with basic greenhouse tasks such as sweeping, weeding, and assisting with plant maintenance. Follow greenhouse watering schedules and ensure plants remain healthy, vibrant, and ready for sale.

 

 

General Requirements Across Roles

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments

• Ability to work in a team

• Comfortable with physical work and outdoor conditions

• Flexible availability (evenings, weekends, and holidays)

• Interest in gardening and plants is helpful for many roles.

• Work efficiently in warm greenhouse conditions while standing, walking, and lifting plant trays as required.
