Very vigorous, well-branched plants feature large, dark blue flowers on black stems with dark green, lightly scented leaves from late spring to mid fall. A "tough as nails" plant that thrives in heat, drought and humidity.  Use in the landscape in a mass bed or in large patio containers as the "thriller" component. The flowers are excellent as a cut flower in a fresh floral arrangement.
