Juliet Cherry An excellent new introduction with beautiful dark red fruit that is great for fresh eating; this cultivar is vigorous and hardy. Self-pollinating, but production is increased if planted with a pollinator. Also available in shrub form Juliet Cherry is a small tree that is commonly grown for its edible qualities. It produces dark red round fruit (technically 'drupes') with red flesh which are usually ready for picking from mid to late summer. Note that the fruits have hard inedible pits inside which must be removed before eating or processing. The fruits have a sweet taste and a firm texture.
